Themes News

Waiting for Black Friday, and for the FSE Storm

I have the sensation that it is a calm moment for both FSE and Classic theme developers.

We are at a point where we know that Classic themes, no matter how powerful they can be, they will ultimately be forced to disappear in the next 2 to 5 years. At the same time, FSE developers had not a solid foundation to rely upon at the current status of the Site Editor.

I believe that after WordPress 6.7 and with the releases of 2025 we will start seeing more and more developers (and users!) focusing on FSE. It's going to be a long process, but the direction is pretty clear in my opinion.

Oh, and of course there is a pretty calm moment now, before the Black Friday storm!

Classic themes

– If you're looking for a solid solution Blocksy PRO is still my favourite classic theme and I think it will be among the most powerful ones together with Astra and Kadence.

FSE themes

– Twenty Twenty-Five will be huge. Watch my live build. And don't miss the official presentation on Zoom, October 26 with Nick Diego and other contributors.
